Gang green
An update on this post about absinthe at Walgreens...
Upon purchasing my nightly bottle of red wine tonight, I took a better look at the bottles displayed prominently on the Walgreen's counter and mentally noted the brand so I could look it up when I got home.
The cashier, who knows me only that way a liquor-counter-cashier can know a person he sees three nights a week buying the same bottle of wine, saw me eying the the frosted-glass bottle. He cautioned me, giving a warning that it would send me sideways into Sunday or some such nonsense.
I politely told him I've had real absinthe from the Czech Republic (thanks theklute) and was mainly examining the bottle so I could learn more about the brand.
And here it is, Le Torment Vert (review by The Wormwood Society).
The Green Torment, eh? Perhaps not the most auspicious of names...
