Dating site ads on my livejournal entries
Well this is great... I sent a Facebook friend a link to an lj entry I’d made. I clicked the link I’d sent to test it, and the first thing I see is a big ad in Russian that I think is for a dating site. I'm not sure though, because it's in Russian, I can't copy the text, and when I try to close the ad the options on the next screen are also in Russian.
I’m glad I’m writing entries about empowering women, right beneath dating site ads and photos of women trying to look hot without saying anything.
I’ve contacted lj because these really don’t match up with the goals I’m portraying here, but I’m also surprised to know that my entries are not being shown ad-free to the public. I thought by having a paid professional account, I had bought that? What’s professional about running ads for Russian dating sites?
Did you all know this and I’m just under a rock?
I put in a support ticket to lj, waiting on a response.
