a working stiff
i got a job today. a job using the skills i learned in college. a job that will help me pay off the mountain of money i owe uncle sam for learning the skills that got me the job. a job in the same company that pays my brother's bills. of course we will be working completely different hours in completely different parts of the building, but i now have a job. on top of that i got a small asssistanceship at gsu that will pay my tuition for the fall which means i can keep working on the dissertation and spinning the best in drone, ambient soundscpaes, tune-in, turn-on drop-out kinda stuff here in the atl. my front porch will be screened-in shortly and the deck will be expanded as well in the near future. so there will certainly come a time where everyone can gather on the front porch and sip tom collins and eat frozen grapes. hoo-ray oh and next week emily and i are headed to la and san diego for a week of fun in the sun. i feel like i am sitting in the catbird seat for sure.
