non-spoilery Doctor Who talk and other things

Can I just take a moment to talk about how much I love this series of Doctor WhoBecause, seriously - I am loving the story line and the little clues that are inserted throughout the episodes. I love reading theories. I don't want to read actual spoilers, but I love the discussion and the excitement that has flared up as a result of the fresh ( Read more... )

I even liked RTD some of the time.

:O I don't think we can be friends anymore! /joking

I want to gather up the whole Moffat team and snorgle them heartily. Except for Gatiss. And you, Chibnall. I fucking hate you.

Do you know about Future!Doctor in Flesh & Stone? BECAUSE IT IS MADE OF AWESOME.

WIBBLY-FUCKING-WOBBLY TIMEY-FUCKING-WIMEY.

Getting mind-fucked by Moff is so much better than being mind-fucked by RTD.

RTD didn't know how to do it right! Never once during RTD's time on the show do I remember thinking, "Shit, what does it mean?" and even if I had thought that, it would have been nothing. He didn't think things through. Moff doesn't do anything but think things through, and I'm just so excited for every single episode. (And also quite heartbroken that we're almost done the season! Waaaah!)

Dear Moff; can I come live in your brain? I am wee and red-haired, and you probably would just think I was an alternate version of Amy.

Moff does epic plots; RTD tries to do epic plots and ends up with TikkerbellJesusDoctor.

He really did have some good episodes! Like, er, in the first series. I enjoyed that whole "Bad Wolf" ending trilogy, ridiculous as it may have been. Let's just forget about "Aliens of London"/"World War Three" forever, though.

Gatiss is: A) the one who did "Victory of the Daleks" and B) the guy who played Lazarus, right? He just kind of creeps me out. I'm not sure why everyone hates Chibnall, to be honest, but I'm also not really familiar with the behind-the-scenes of the new series.

YES I DO AHH it's so awesome! I didn't realize it at first, but I read some people's reaction posts in which they pointed it out, so I went back , watched it and pretty much flipped out.

Chibnall did Cyberwoman and Countrycide for Torchwood. He has a NOT GOOD track record. Gatiss also did the DIckens episode and the weird-ass telly one. He's a fan of kicking the companion off the story for a bit.

(I will, however, give him props for Utopia/The Sound of Drums, because it is one of the high points of his reign. He just ... falls through on the third act. Build up, build up, DEUX EX ROSE/TINKERBELL JESUS DOCTOR.)
