A picture of the lovely Ms. Bananas will soon be winging its way to an area newsletter, after accepting a local history book for our library today. I meet lots of authors and donors in my business, but this is the first time I've had my picture taken with one. I even had my official looking librarian sweater on.
I briefly thought about striking a pose with the book: the "kissy lips", the "interested perusal", the "thoughful chewing on pen", but went for the classic "standing in front of bookcase with book held betwixt me and the author". Maybe I should look into getting a stylist on staff.
