what good is going to bed at 9:30

if you're only going to have dreams in which you are being chased by various baddies and network news anchors all night?

Last night I think I was dreaming a riff of "Maria Full of Grace," only I was the Maria character. I remember hitching rides on trains (something I've always wanted to do), then jumping off of them as they slow down through small towns, try to find a friend who was married recently, so that I'd have some place to live, but not being able to remember her married name, therefore not being able to find her in the phone book. When the customs guys weren't after me, NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams was. I had scammed him on the train ride, and not only had I stolen his wallet, but also his heart! Isn't that the way it always goes. He finally did meet up with me in an art gallery and spirit me away to safety.

I can get the whole Brian Williams thing. Pretty hunky as far as the network guys go, and I do my treadmill time while he's on at night.

But Customs? That worries me a bit, as I have some bidness to transact with the lovely people of Customs & Immigration in a few weeks.

At least I know I can get away if a train happens to be rolling by.

immigration, dreams
