My ex who thinks I'm crazy
obviously hasn't shared a movie theatre with the lady across the aisle from me tonight.
We all thought she was on her cell phone until she started to shout "Lies! Lies!"
I so need to order those Movie Manners cards from TWOP.
And as I was sitting there, I fully intended to go and get a veggie sub after the movie ended. Somehow I wound up with chicken selects and fries. Oh, well. Maybe that'll cure the salt craving for a little bit.
I was taking screen shots and cropping them all afternoon at work. I think I'll have a very good OPAC demonstration, if only I can get the room, the people, and the equipment together. The curriculum's already there. I like that my boss thinks that I can do library instruction, and that it isn't just the job of the reference staff. At my old place, the reference librarians were the stars that got to do all the training, and travel to workshops to become better trainers. Technical services had nothing to add. That, and The Management was afraid I'd tell someone off.
I think it's all going to be OK. It's all going to be all right.
I can hardly wait to talk to my friend tonight. I have to get her a surgery recovery kit, as she's having fairly substantial work done May 10. Chocolates, a few trashy romance novels, odds and ends. I'll have to start stocking up this weekend.
