Stay out of my library records, and my medicine cabinet

Now not only does the government want into your library records (that is if they give you enough money to keep your library open), now they want into your medicine cabinet as well.

If you want to buy cold medicine in the state I live in now, you have to show your I.D., and provide your name and address. All in an effort to stop new meth labs in the state.

Guess I'll be stocking up on cold medicine when I take my trip up to Canada in the summer. Not sure if it applies to the liquid type medicines, or just the pills.

I had a dream last night about moving and finding a new apartment. Maybe that's not a bad idea.

And, it's National Library Week. Support your local library. Not only with your tax dollars, but showing up regularly and looking like you give a damn. Don't take us for granted. Otherwise, we might not be around the next time you need us. Or we'll be storing our books out on the street.

Ahhh. The smell of history. I smelled it today, and it has the same smell that dusty baseboard heaters do when you turn them on after the summer.

irritants, librarianship
