with imported! (from Canada) marmalade, I think back on all of the english muffin toasting I did in grad school at the cafeteria.
In those crappy tank track toasters.
Have those things ever toasted anything to perfection? No matter what the heat setting or the track speed, things only ever seemed to come out raw or burned.
It didn't help having all the 17 year olds in hiphuggers fiddling with the dial when my poor little english muffin was already halfway through its arduous journey.
But this english muffin, done in my very own toaster oven is just right. Brown around the edges, firm to tap, golden across the middle. Lots of nooks and crannies to hold the marmalade on just so.
Mmmmph.
Heh. Now my 'f' key is sticky.
