I abandoned my beloved Sunday afternoon nap today in hopes of getting a decent sleep tonight. My usual Sunday-Monday night schedule is as follows:
11pm-3am: restless thrashing
3am-4am: desperate pillow plumping
4am-5am: bargaining, acceptance
5am-6am: sleep and dreams of fire alarms, car alarms, burglar alarms
6am: alarm sounds, panicked throttling of radio and NPR announcer
I spent most of the day couchbound with the television on. Whether this will be conducive to restfulness remains to be seen.
Is
this all that PBS has to offer for Mystery! this season? Maybe we'll be lucky and get a few Morse reruns at the end of the season.
A few things I'd like to have put on permanent televisual hiatus? Discussion of the following topics: Opus Dei, gas prices, and James Blunt. You can imagine my horror when items 1 and 3 were featured on the same Sunday morning show.
