waiting to wake up
I'm going to enjoy a lazy Sunday morning a bit more before I head off for a bout of adventuring. We'll see what I find out there under the thick layer of prairie fog.
I had a dream last night that I was home for a visit with my parents, and my father decided to surprise me with some upgrades to my car. He installed a sunroof over the back seat so I could impress my friends when we drove under waterfalls. What friends? What waterfalls? But he'd done such a good job (except for the leaking, but a handy tarpaulin fixes that, ha ha!), and was so enthusiastic about the project that I couldn't stay mad at him for long.
Funny double whammy in the mailbox yesterday. Another rent increase from the landlord, and a pamphlet from the housing authority on my rights as a tenant. A bit of giving and taking away. Nearly as good as the time I found separate mailings on life insurance and funeral homes.
The landlord says the rent increase is to cover heating costs (in April?), and that 'nice improvements' are in the works. I'd just be happy if they vacuumed the halls again.
