What? An Update?
Well, I said I might update, so here it is:
Yes it is true, I have officially graduated from college, and so far I have done jack shit with my degree! I have spent a majority of summer working at Ardrey/Ashurst Auditoria at NAU, which while fun and amusing, hasn't always been rewarding on the financial end. I do have numerous resumes and applications floating around, and i currently have only had one interview that went so-so, but I'm supposed to find out either today or tomorrow whether or not they want me to come back for a second interview. The rest of the summer has been pretty fun. I spent about a week in San Diego for SD4. This was my second time going, and I definitely had more fun this time then the last. We went to a Padre's game, saw Transformers, Spent the 4th at the beach, and had some rather interesting times (having 30 people stay at one house it quite....interesting, but none the less fun). After that it was off to National Convention which was hella fun. Dr. Malinda Matney was elected our first female National President which was freaken awesome. Mike and I stole numerous mascots my two favorite being a)Me stealing the Midwest district mascot, and b)Mike stealing the National Gavel (he stole it from lance...) The whole week was beyond fun. And what's even more exciting is that national convention in '09 will be at the AZ Biltmore in Phoenix. Which means if im still in AZ in '09 that will make national convention hella cheap for me.
Anyways, Band Camp starts tomorrow, which feels weird that I'm not doing it. I marched for Seven years...its a little hard to let go, but I'll survive. The upside is that now i can do things like Tequila Sunrise and tailgating. All the traditions that I never got to do as an undergrad I can do now.
As for life in general, i guess its going pretty good. I'm a little sad, just because I'm not a part of band anymore and my roommate and I have been reminiscing over the past few days of years past (especially my freshman year, man, those were the days.)
I think thats probably a sufficient update for now. Its time to do some laundry and finish re-organizing my living room (my roommate and I also spent about three days watching HGTV and got the urge to redecorate/rearrange our living room).
