Music Cooties!
Remember a couple of days ago when I mentioned singing The Hustle? Well, this sort of upsetting occurance is not unusual for me. I might have said this in my journal at some point in the past, but it bears repeating for the purposes of this entry. Nearly every morning I wake up with a random song in my head. Some songs are very familiar. I can't say why any particular one shows up on any given day. Some are not familiar at all. I may have only heard them once on my co-worker's country radio station. Or I may not be able to place the song at all. In any event, I have lots of songs rattling around in my head, and I find myself singing, humming, and whistling them every morning. It can be maddening if they are crappy songs, of course. And it's a different song every single day.
On to a different but related aside. Those of you who know larian may have seen that her LJ title says that she is "a plague of music cooties". It says so because I have asked her not to infect me with awful things like Barry Manilow and probably things exactly like the Bee Gees and The Hustle. ETA: I should confess here that I do have one Barry Manilow song in my iPod. Actually, if I might put another in there, but only because of my comic book bf, Abe Sapien.
larian has been out of town, though. I cannot blame her for the awful things I've been craving and that have been popping into my head musically this past week. Unfortunately. They're shameful. Tsk.
