Erik had a doctor's appointment yesterday. He's 21.4 pounds and 29 inches. That's a big boy. He didn't have any shots, just a blood draw from his big toe which he didn't even notice. There was an older boy in the next room getting shots and he was FREAKING OUT. He was screaming things like "you're hurting me" and "I want to go home, I want to go to Gramma's". I felt awful. We could also hear people yelling at him and trying to make him lay still (yeah right) and what sounded like things being knocked over. We like Erik's new Doctor. But he about freaked out when I said that Erik has antibiotics for his throat virus in June (he says he didn't need them). He also said that we need to take Erik out in the sun more because he's white ("you can use sun screen now, Mom"). Other then that we're doing great. There is also a trolley stop right across the street from the doctor and it's the same line as the stop in Santee, so we'll be trolley goers when we go the doctor.

Got my blood test results yesterday. I'm not pregnant but I have to go in on MOnday to discuss things. I think my thyroid test had bad results. An under active thyroid can cause irregular periods or the absence of periods. If so then it all makes sense. I've been thinking about things and I decided that I don't want to get pregnant until I lose some weight. So that's my goal, lose all the weight I can be next summer and then conceive. If my body lets me, I can lose a pound a week for the next 10-12 months. That may be too much to hope for, but my initial goal is 28 pounds, 10% of my current weight, which is what weight watchers suggests people start with.
