Everyone is sleeping except me. Tristan is sleeping soundly with Daddy. I really think he hates sleeping alone.
Today was supposed to be laundry day but tomorrow will be for sure. It must all be done before bed tomorrow. And by done I mean also put away.
I went through the boys clothes and made a list of what they need for winter. It's a long list. But some of Erik's pants from last winter still fit as does his windbreaker. As soon as I find his bomber jacket we'll see if it still fits (hopefully it will because it was expensive). Both boys need snowsuits and boots (I plan on taking them to the snow every couple of weeks). Then there's the rest of the heavy clothes for Erik and bigger clothes for Tristan. Only a couple of Erik's old things will do for Tristan as they were born in different seasons. I'll be hitting the outlets and the local baby/children consignment store in October.
I'm really starting to be able to distinguish between needs and wants. I WANT a nice britax car seat for Tristan, but he can use Erik's extra not britax seat until Erik moved to a booster seat in 2 years. I WANT new couches, but we can live with a sunken middle seat. In short I'm finally being responsible.
I really need to find my knitting needles. I have three scarves to make for the winter gift giving holiday. If they go quickly and look nice I may make more if I find nice yarn on sale. We are SERIOUSLY downsizing the spending this year. We are baking and shipping cookies to the out of state relatives instead of buying Hickory Farms (that stuff is expensive!).
Well, Tristan is finally waking up.
