(no subject)
We finally heard back about the extension of Michael's orders for this mission. We'll be here through 31Sept2007. That gives me 5 months to pick out paint colors for the kid's rooms assuming he isn't extended through the end of 2008. I really can't wait to get back. We will also probably make one trip to Fresno this summer (a really bad time to be going), but with any luck we'll be staying in the coolish mountains because our house won't have power.
Speaking of the house...
It will be vacated in a week or so. We get to make minimum payments until we move back since it's kind of pissy to ask someone to move in for 5 months. The inlaws will be checking on it from time to time. The kids and I will come back a two or three weeks before Michael and the cats so that I can do the painting and cleaning. And because after the movers come for our stuff the apartment will be empty save a few dishes/pots/silverware, an air mattress and Michael's computer. We have everything we need in Fresno (TV, couches, a bed, washer/dryer, computer desk) so it would be lame for the kids and I to stay in a place with nothing when we could be in the house with everything.
14 days until Baby!! I finally did all of my preadmission stuff for the hospital. All that remains is the samples I need to give the day before for typing and cross matching so they can have blood on hand in case I need some.
Leaving Erik with Laurie from playgroup went really well yesterday. He had a blast with her and her son and the boy she watches. My appointment went well. I had the Group B Strep test which was horrible, but only because he swabbed my tushie hole and I'm a little funny about people/things touching me there. The things we pregnant women have to put up with. He also did a cervical check (I wasn't going to let him, but he was already down there so I figured 'Why not?"). My cervix is really soft, but still closed tight.
I really want this baby out.
