Words of Comfort for exams

Apr 07, 2005 22:02

I know I sure need some. So this is from one of my friends and sister in Christ.

BEFORE EXAMS:

1. I am so worried.

Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and
petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God, and the peace
of God which transcends all understanding will guard your heart and your
minds in Christ Jesus.

2. My mind cannot concentrate.

Isaiah 26:3
Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed in Thee,
because he trust in Thee.

3. I cannot sleep peacefully.

Psalm 43:6
I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me.

4. I am physically and mentally exhausted.

Isaiah 40:3
But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will
soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will
walk and not be faint.

5. There is no hope for I am too far behind to catch up.

Psalm 43:6
Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your
hope in God, for I will yet praise Him my saviour and my God.

DURING EXAMS:

1. I don't understand this question.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your
understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your
paths straight.

2. I am too nervous to think properly.

John 14:27
Peace I give to you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the
world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid.

AFTER EXAMS:

1. What will my marks be?

Psalm 37:4-5
Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desire of your heart.

2. I have to retake the course.

Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things, God works for good of those who love
him, and who have been called according to His purpose.
