*Guess who once again got injured during an on-foot portion of a mission? That's right, everyone's favorite blond violinist. You can visit him in the infirmary either while he's out of it or when he's awake

It's okay. I was the one who went in there without Cagalli to back me up. But it was something that needed to be done. And even though I was stabbed, I still technically won.
I won't lie. Getting stabbed hurts just as much, if not worse, as getting shot is.
Her name was Dorothy Catalonia. She was controlling the Mobile Dolls that we were fighting with the ZERO System. She wasn't very happy that I was able to defeat her with my own copy of the ZERO System. She also didn't agree with my ideals.
You really did use it after all. I heard about what happened the last time, but even so, I'm glad you're alright. My Eva and its berserker mode are kinda the same way. When it's active, it's like living a nightmare, but in some battles I'm not sure if we would've won without it.
Did you wind up killing her? I would never judge you either way for it, Quatre, since I know you were in a tight spot.
I didn't have much of a choice. If I didn't, we all would've died. It was hard, but I managed to stay focused and keep my sanity this time.
Actually, I didn't have to kill her. Somehow I managed to get through to her by talking. I don't know if Dorothy made it out before Libra was destroyed though. It was all I could do to remain conscious until everything was over.
It must've hurt - in your heart, I mean. I know you hate taking lives when you don't have to more than anything. But you truly are an amazing person, to be able to reach people like that. I'm pretty envious of you. I'm not exactly all that good with words.
-Shinji laughs.-
Man, I remember I hated your guts when we first met, but just look at us now! I think there really is more to fighting than just duking it out. Understanding your enemy to a degree seems important, too.
I think I only managed to with Dorothy is because she reminded me of myself, before I met everyone. So I was able to understand her thinking, and reach her in a way that no one else might've been able to.
To be fair, you hated everyone you met when you first arrived. I was just too stubborn and refused to give up until I reached you.
Yeah, you're pretty thick-headed when it comes to these sorts of things. Maybe we should just mass produce you and send you out full force against the enemy. I'm sure they'd lay down their weapons in no time.
-Shinji then sighs, throwing up his hands in mock frustration.-
Seriously, I don't know what to do with you. I tell you not to get hurt then you just wind up like this. I'm starting to feel like your mother here. Maybe I should start nagging you to clean your room, too?
-It's not lost on Shinji, but he continues smiling anyway, though his voice softens.-
Heh, Quatre...
You're so much like Kira, you know? I can see there are a lot of burdens you're bearing. And the both of you are so stubborn, you spend more time helping others to ease theirs rather than tending to your own. Well, I'll tell you the same thing I told him.
I'll always have your back. So if there's anything you ever need to say, you just let me know. You can vent any time. Don't hold it in all in, I'd hate to see bits of Quatre go flying everywhere from the resulting explosion!
Thanks Shinji. Just knowing that you're willing to do that is more than enough. And I promise that I won't let myself hold my emotions in until I snap again.
Hey there, sleeping beauty. I figured you might be hungry.
-He lays the tray on the bedside table and pulls up a chair.-
How are you holding up? I can't wait to hear the war story behind this.

Thanks for bringing real food. I don't know what it is about hospital food, but it's universally bad.
*He takes a couple of bites before replying*
You mean what did I do to land here this time? I got stabbed through with a sharpened fencing sword.

And yeah, it's hard to tell the difference between hospital food and horse shit sometimes, but it's better than nothing, I guess.

Naw, one of me is enough. Nothing good comes of mass producing anything.

Hey! I promised to not get shot again. I said nothing about getting stabbed.
And I'm pretty sure my room is cleaner than yours is. Especially since it's just me in the room now.
