Chocolate Thunder
It's been awhile..
I drove up to 'Cuse this past weekend with my good friend Elisse (former SUA member), and we pretended to be in college for the weekend. I figured it'd be a dry-run for Homecoming weekend in a month, which is looking to be absolutely bananas...b-a-n-a-n-a-s.
I gave a little speech at APO's chapter meeting on Sunday. It was nice to see everyone looking well - I miss those little fools. Before I went to that meeting, I played in the SUA vs. Rural/Metro football game. We won, making two years in a row. It was miserable outside though - cold rain, mud, etc. Needless to say, my body is in shambles. But I was hot in my little black wife-beater and wind pants, running up and down the field.
Well, it's that time of the year again - I'm so stressed out my brain could melt. I got a small promotion last week at work - which is good, but it means 3 times the workload. Class isn't going well, and I'm only taking one for christ's sake. I'm glad I'm not doing anymore traveling for a bit...I need to stay home and center.
Spent another night with Becky - we went to see "The Constant Gardener," it was fantastic. It's not surprising it only got a limited release - it basically outs the dodgier practices of pharmaceutical companies. Definitely a mind-fuck - and a sad one at that. Don't go if you're not up for a slap in the face. Afterward, we walked over to the georgetown waterfront...walked up and down the dock...relaxing, and fulfilling.
Busy day today...presenting the new Webstars rollout to the office today. I'm nervous...it could go really well, or quite poorly. We will see...
