Oh, the holidays trumple on... there's just so many of them wrapped into a single stretch of time! Solstice, Christmas, Channukah, New Years, n' a handful of birthdays - I am one pooped little botz! Spent the last few days in bed, feeling snuggly, watching horror movies, eating piles of fruits n' veggies and reading reading reading. Venturing outside today to take a light yoga class, (hooray!) and then over to my mom's place for a pile of potato latkes - YUM! I hardly want to leave the safety of my book to brave the outdoors. Love in the Time of Cholera. The days just whizz past, and I don't move, just read, nap, read, nap, eat, nap, read. Battling a tough head cold, and excusing my own sloth, I just keep flipping the light back on to read a few more pages when I really should be sleeping. My bearfriend sleeps all curled up to me, his paw sleepily intertwined with mine as I turn pages, captivated by parrots in mango trees, chess masters and the ancient rituals of love. Outside my window, the city rumbles but all I hear is the voice of Dr. Urbino, his curly moustache muffling the sound ever so slightly...
Tomorrow the calendar year wraps up, as 2005 sets behind us and 2006 rises over the horizon. Wow. Time is amazingly fast n' slow all at once. Much love to each and all of you this holiday season. Bear hugs for all!
