prana-bindu with my alien bretheren

Amazing yoga class last night. Felt like I was dreaming as I stepped out into the night afterwards, the sky flittering flurries down to rest on my eyelashes and crystalize my vision. Deep breaths. Inhaling crisp air into my lungs and exhaling it in a warm puff. Walked my tired body home, (just shy of an hour), savouring every step and laughing to myself as I hummed all my favourite rock tunes in a medley of TOOL, QOTSA, Kyuss and Zep. Threw in a little Tori, Lamb, and Bjork to balance out the Ha and Tha energies, bringing the Sun and Moon into alignment. Arrived home one frozen botzicle (!), climbed into bed to snuggle with kittens until I warmed up. MmmMmmmMmm... happiness is fuzzy kittens on a cold winter night :)

Life is so organic, it just amazes me with every twist and turn. What happened to all the anxiety and depression of last semester? Was that even me? Dedication to my practice seems to have chased away the unsteadiness and given me the strength to confront the difficulties. Healing, beauty and peace - both mentally and physically, I can feel the ways the practice is changing me. Funny how sometimes I don't notice that my feet have disconnected from the ground until I feel them firmly plant themsleves back down...
Had a couple of great reconnections with my older bro in the last few days. Its so crazy to know that no matter how divergent the paths we take, there'll always be a fuzzy-headed bear standing behind me, ready to tackle the world with claws and teeth should it try n' mess with me. (LOL, ok ok! Claws n' teeth is a bit extreme, but he'd definitely throw flowers and stuffed monster dolls at it ;)

Only eleven more days until Spring Equinox... the crocuses are their way!
