I've been sick this week with a cold. Took Tuesday and Wednesday off and managed a few downs Thursday before taking an EO. Went bowling that night with Sabs & Company. Had a few White Russians while sucking on cough drops and still managed to roll a respectable 174... Combined over three games. I'll blame it on the cold.
Maybe I'll blame it on the rain instead. It was actually raining in Vegas last night and today. Either that or Nyquil is more hallucinogenic than I'd thought. Even saw a nice big rainbow while I was running errands this afternoon. It was quite lovely.
I watched
In the Valley of Ellah this afternoon. It was very good. Based on a true story and told in a true way with no real heroes or villains. Just people being human. Brings up one of the less visible costs of war.
One of the things I never understood about invading Iraq was the notion of a "Preemptive War." What I don't get is what could possibly be so bad that a War is the preferable alternative?
