peanuts is over. 'my' play. after more than a month of hard work, and 10hr 'work'days. i had never expected to spend that much time at my old school after getting my abitur last year.
it was a big success, although it had some scary side effects. the second part of the play is very hard. it is about torture and police violence (the 2nd part) with each performance, the actors grew more and more into their roles and acted more and m,ore realistically. i think it is good that we did do only 6 performances, because, for the actors, it had the effect of 'Das Experiment' or 'Die Welle' that the actors take their role seriously, and instead of just pretending to beat their victims, they really beat them.
this time, we hadnt done as much PR work as usual, just a couple of posters 'downtown' and one newspaper article, so we werent playing sold out performances (except for 2), but thta was ok.
we had audiences with tears in the eyes, and even one of the teachers (the most authoritarian and strict one) who had seen the play, having a nightmare about an actress playxing the police boss.
