I am in such a shit mood.
So after the latest monsoon came through LA, a huge 1200 ton bolder falls onto PCH, conveniently blocking my way to work. Or so I thought. They gave me yesterday off because in addition, all except one of the canyon roads into Malibu were closed as well. Only today, they demand that I come in.
Let me explain how monumentally shitty this is. I have to leave Venice, take the 10, to the 405, to the 101 to Kanan-Dume to get to work this morning. As in, with traffic, three hours and fifteen minutes to get to work. I could be in fucking Mexico in three hours and fifteen minutes. Instead I'm at work which is geographically about twenty minutes away from my house.
And to make this peachy day better, we have to leave work early (4PM) because it will also take about three hours to get home. So I have a six hour commute to only work five hours.
They don't expect this boulder out of the way tomorrow morning, which means that more than likely, it will be three hours to get to work again tomorrow. I already freaked out at work and told them I would call in sick tomorrow before I would go through that shit again.
Fuck nature. And fuck the idiot that thought a six hour commute was worth the five hours of work that I will get done today.
