Roadtripping

Man, I need to update more often.

I've been roadtripping a lot lately, and that makes me very happy. I've been spending a lot of time lately with Dave and our friend, Ryan, and we've decided to have more adventures in 2009. So that's just what we've been doing.

JAN. 3
Trip to Escondido, CA to visit the Stone Brewery. This was a day trip, but so much beer and so much fun.

JAN. 10-11
Trip to Northern California. We started by driving up the coast to visit the Monterey Aquarium. Then spent the night hanging out in Carmel. The next morning we took the 17 Mile Drive through Carmel and Pebble Beach, before heading down to my personal favorite, Big Sur. Big Sur might be the most beautiful place I've ever been to in America, and certainly rivaled Bali with it's beauty.

JAN. 19
After a weekend in Charlotte visiting my friend, Elizabeth, I rented a car and drove to Raleigh to visit my friend, Ian.

JAN. 20
After the inauguration I drove down to Charleston to visit my family. This was awesome because that morning it snowed 5" and the drive felt like Narnia. I've never driven in snow.

I spent the rest of the week in Charleston spending time with the family, mostly hanging out with my sick grandma and helping my sister with her wedding. It was a good trip; definitely something I needed after missing them over the holidays.

JAN. 25
Drove from Charleston to Charlotte to catch a flight back to LA. This made for a LONG day!

Now that I'm back, Dave and Ryan are really pushing me to think of some more road trips for February. Here's some ideas we have:

Temecula wine country
Grand Canyon
Sierra Nevadas
San Diego Zoo
Rosarita Beach, Mexico (ok, so I'm the only one that wants to do this one, but I'll convince them yet!)
