Why people piss me off
I'm messing about on Goodreads, adding the books I've read this month, and after I finish my review of Rick Riordan's latest Heroes of Olympus book, The House of Hades, I started reading some of the other reviews, most of which are cute in the teenage girl squealing kind of way. And then I see this one:
Heard about some questionable aspects of the story line...so disappointed!! My daughter loves Riordan and now she can't finish the series! Tragic.
And I can only think that this person is talking about the fact that Nico confesses that WHEN HE WAS TEN YEARS OLD he got a crush on Percy. And it so confused and scared him that that was part of the reason he ran away from Camp Half-Blood. And he still might maybe - at the grand old age of thirteen - still have a bit of that crush. OH NOES! QUEER!!!!!
And seriously, if this is the reason that this person is pulling the books away from her daughter, then fuck her and her homophobic bullshit. God, that shit really pisses me off.
