So yesterday, I froze all day. Froze. Friday was the first day the neighborhood pool was open - something I was really looking forward to last weekend - and it was like 20oF yesterday. Okay, I exaggerate, but not by much. So I spent most of the day in my chair with a blanket over my legs (and an occasional cat) and read. By 8pm, I just thought, 'screw it', went upstairs, put on my nightgown, crawled into bed with my book, and promptly nodded off. Yeah, 8:30 and granny here was sleeping. /facepalm
Anyway woke up long enough to read maybe another chapter, then put the book down, turned off the light, and settled in for my usual sleep/wake-up, sleep/wake-up pattern. Woke up at a little after 6am this morning, and knew that there was not going to be any more sleep, so got up. At 6:15 on a Sunday morning. /weeps
I saw a Twitter from David Hewlett this morning where he's reading
Blackbirds by Chuck Wendig. When I looked it up, it looked really good. Unfortunately, my library doesn't have it so I put it on my Wishlist to remind me to buy it later because right now? I have eight library books (digital & hard copy) out that I need to get read and returned. One I know I'll have to renew; the others I'm going to try and finish as quickly as possible. And, of course, I still have about a billion unread books here at home and on my Kindle that I should probably read at some point in my life.
Ugh, I have zero ambition to go to church and the gym this morning, and yet I must. I'm on altar duty this month at church, and I was totally lazy last week so working out is a must this week.
