So apparently there were copper thieves...
I was informed by a couple co-workers a little while ago that thousands of Comcast customers are without cable in my neck of the woods in both WV & Ohio because thieves stole something like a thousand (feet? yards? IDEK) of copper from the cable lines. Or something. I don't know if I'll have cable when I get home because I have a different cable provider (a small mom and pop company), but I don't know if any of their services are piggybacked onto the Comcast cables. I don't really think so though because my outages never seem to coincide with Comcast outages. From what I was told, it'll be days before service is restored. I'm sure there's going to be tension in many households tonight because as co-worker P stated, "ZOMG! Dancing with the Stars is on tonight!"
Even if I don't have cable, I'm not too concerned as I have weeks worth of tv downloaded that I need to catch up on, and a couple library books I need to get read, so I'm set as far as evening entertainment goes.
The weather's been really dreary today, and I'm bored and disinterested at work, so all I want to do is leave. The time change has seriously messed up my internal clock so that I keep thinking that it's a lot nearer to quiting time than it actually is. Like now, I feel like I should be starting to clear things up for the night, and yet I still have an hour and twenty minutes to go until quitting time. That totally sucks.
