I'm ready for 5pm
My brother and s-i-l are taking me out to dinner tonight for my birthday which is nice. I was going to wear the lovely top they got me for Christmas, but then a memo came out at work yesterday that we could wear sports-themed gear if we so desired (our City Manager is a Browns fan so this really kills him to let us where our Steelers gear, LOL). So since it's a big game tomorrow, I just had to wear my Steelers sweatshirt to show my support for the guys. GO STEELERS!
It's a three day weekend with MLK day on Monday, so I plan on watching the playoffs Saturday and Sunday and maybe getting caught up on tv and reading. I only have one episode of The Vampire Diaries left to watch before I'm caught up with this season, and I don't wanna watch it! Then I'll have to wait a couple weeks before the show comes back. *wibble* I'm still reading the books the show was based on. They aren't bad, but I usually only read a chapter a night at bedtime, so it's taking me a while to get through them. I'm a little over half-way through After America and then I have any number of books to choose from including the two I picked up from the library today, The Searchers by Alan LeMay (the book the John Wayne film was based on), and The Catcher in the Rye.
Ugh, it's only 1:30. I think it's going to be a long afternoon.
