It's a very rainy Sunday here today, and I'm in the mood to do absolutely nothing. I was going to pull out the stove and fridge and excavate clean the floor underneath and give the rest of the kitchen floor a good scrubbing, but I just can't drum up the energy. However, the rest of the kitchen is clean. Yay!
You know, if anyone had helped me clean the kitchen they would think with all the cleaning supplies under my sink, "Hey, this must be the cleanest house in the town!" And yet, not so much. Same with all the pots, pans and baking paraphernalia. "Wow, she must be a master chef!" And again, not so much. Boy, the crap you can accumulate without even trying.
I have to go to a birthday party today for the twins, and I'm really not looking forward to it. Because of the forecast (and now actual) rain, they moved it from my niece's house where the kids could play outside to the American Legion hall. The acoustics are all you would expect... horrible. I'm dreading listening to the screams of a dozen kids bouncing off the walls and concrete floors of this place. I'm not staying a second longer than I have to. /is a crab.
I think I'm going to call the contractor I want to give me an estimate on my kitchen and bath remodel and see if he can't come out next week. The 12th is primary election day here, so I'm off on that day and I took the 11th off, too. If he can come out on one of those days, I can see where I stand as far as what I can afford to get done, or if I just need to bite the bullet and refinance my house to get it all done.
general blather,
cleaning up is hard to do
