Weekend round-up

Nothing much to report. On Saturday, I finally reached the point of procrastination where I actually had to *do* something, and reframed a chalk portrait that my cousin and I had had done of ourselves at Knotts Berry Farm in 1970 as a Christmas present for our grandpap. After he died, my mom took it and hung it up in her living room, and after she went into the nursing home, I brought it home with a bunch of her other stuff. When my brother packed it in the car, he managed to crack the glass. I bought a new frame for it (the frame it was in was actually too big for it), and then proceeded to ignore it for two years. Saturday, I finally switched it out and then hung it in the spare bedroom.

Yesterday, I watched two MST3K movies that I'd gotten from the library. The movies were excruciatingly bad, and Mike, Crow, and Tom Servo were very funny. Then I watched Meteor on Spike TV, a disaster movie. Y'all know my love of disaster movies, even though 99% of them are very bad. This was in a 70% percentile of bad - a rather good rating because Stacy Keach was awesome, as he so often is - so I happily stayed up until midnight to watch it. By the end of it though, I was rooting for the meteor to smash into the Earth and kill off everyone except Stacy Keach, but, alas, the pseudo-genius girl-child scientist managed to pull a ridiculous miracle out of her ass and save the day. I swear, every time I watch one of these movies, I have Rodney McKay screaming profanities in the back of my head about the science. LOL

I'm only working four days this week, as I took Friday off to give me a four day weekend. Yay for long weekends!

Today, I'm trying to write my final story for cliché bingo. Today is the last day to post, and I feel bad that I haven't completed a line. I know the story I'm trying to write, it's just not wanting to get written. Oh, well, I'll try to pull it out of my head and get the damned thing posted, for good or ill.
