When the host first showed up, I'm so trained that I felt a little bit of a disconnect when Pretty Boy Probst didn't show up.
Okay, two careers I wouldn't think would go together are scientist/exotic dancer. And yet, we apparently have one on Pirate Master. Hee! It reminds me of some that story I read where Rodney worked as an exotic dancer during college. Anyway, the scientist/exotic dancer claimed he was a geek. But in reality he was just weird. And surprisingly adept. He was the one who figured out how to unlock one of the clues, and he was the one who figured out where the treasure chest was hidden. So, yeah, smart. But totally weird - in that creepy way some very smart people are weird. I think he'll be interesting to watch. ... Oops, nope, he was the first one cut adrift. Bye, bye weird scientist/exotic dancer John. *g*
They elected a captain who I thought I'd like, but, wow, what an arrogant ass. I wonder how long he'll last as pirate captain.
It's a cool concept - sort of Pirates of the Caribbean (the Disney ride), but with real seasickness and gold. I pretty much like the crew, but I think the guy they elected Captain and the two people he chose as officers are making a big mistake by acting to arrogant.
Well, I gotta say, I think I'm going to love this show.
