enfeebling

Finally beat a Proto-Ultima yesterday! I had 7 merit points saved up depending on what job I gear, so upgraded enfeebling magic skill 2 more times. Seemed to work pretty well, was able to land para/blind/slow, sometime took a few casts when resisted. Now I have a clear goal:

1. Max enfeeb merits
2. Test out +mnd vs. +skill in body, hand, ear, neck slots on NM's to improve para and slow.
3. End internal debate once and for all what to merit for rdm Tier 1: convert recast, ice, or wind accuracy. Tier 2 I'm leaning toward 2 each of Phalanx, Paralyze, and Slow! Maybe Dia 3 instead of Phalanx. I've noticed that Dia 3 doesn't affects merit chains, and I need to upgrade to level 2 for it to be worth the mp cost on NM's. The internal debate continues.

I was secretly looking forward to going as whm so I have a push towards putting some merits in whm. Ah well, next time. ^^; Also was toying with the idea of meriting summoning magic since it has an effect on avatars now, but I don't usually play smn enough to warrant the hit to enfeeb/elemental.

Drops were 2 turbans and 1 manteel, a taru got the manteel so at least better than SOME races. :P Hope I can wear the manteel one day and pretend Eir's Scheherazade. LS has been pretty good about going after Ultima pop sets as well as Omega, I know that many people consider Omega armor to be way superior to Ultima armor, so appreciate that people have been spending the time and money to farm those limbus zones as well. The hands, legs, feet, and body are definitely great pieces to add to any mage collection. I don't plan on wearing a turban so no comment there!
