Along with 6 other American students, I attended an afternoon tea with the newly appointed US ambassador to the UK. I actually met Ambassador Tuttle and his wife, among many other professors and US Embassy agents. Afterwards, we were ushered into another room where about 30 English students awaited the arrival of the Ambassador. There was an informal Q&A, and let's just say that those Brits were definitely not shy about their questions. I used all of my will power to stay quiet and respectful. It was the hardest thing ever to sit through, except for maybe Chem6A.

Ambassador Tuttle served on Reagan's administration and has known the president for 25 years. I was one degree of seperation away from Bush. Just ponder on that...

I washed my hands thoroughly whence I arrived home.
