I slept all of 18 hours last night for no reason whatsoever other than the fact that I preferred dreamland to waking life. I woke up, my mom came home and made me popcorn, and I resumed my post as on line addict, or just another customer of AOL. I could be watching the news right now, but preferred reading the latest 'The Modern World' by Tom Tomorrow which I found intriguing and hilarious.
I didn't go out today, if only for the reason that we have a sick house guest, which seemed to cast a gloomy shadow over the whole apartment building. I didn't mind sleeping though. It has become a very trustworthy way to escape reality and the boredom that has become my life for the past 6 months out of school and out of a job. Soon, however, I'll start volunteering for the Humane Society and become one of those 'animal lovers' that I only remember my old neighbors as being. They even had a license plate 'LVRS' just so the world could be informed, although I think the most common connotation was that the two of them were lovers and not that they loved animals.
Ah...dinner smells are drifting through the living room into this room. Maybe I will go out there.
Y'all should see a good movie: The Motorcycle Diaries. It's bout Che Guevara's early days riding through South America with a friend and the obstacles they come across. Really good. English subtitles. (How many of you will see it now that I mentioned that?)
