I did want to make some sort of grand post at the end of the schoolyear. I actually got through the entire thing, though not without using up all my allotted sick days and then some (no, really; my attendance was pretty bad). This sounds pretty amazing to me, and I'm impressed that you made it through what sounds like a really rough time and I'm also happy to hear how much you loved your students, even when they were less than ideal.

Do you know what you're planning on doing after this?

Not so much! Right now I'm looking at volunteering overseas. Having even just that year of experience makes me a far more attractive candidate for teaching-type stuff, I believe. I'm looking for something involving education and sustainability, hopefully. There's a sustainably-run orphanage in Uganda I'm particularly interested in.

Yaaay, you survived!!! It's like you spent a year in a zombie apocalypse computer game and you walked out in the other end with your sanity intact!!!

I think it's pretty telling about the state of the school system that despite the advancements in other fields, schools still basically function in same form they did in 1911.

Bu yes, in any case, congratulations!!!:D You made it through the shcool year aaaand you didn't just survive, you also had an actual positive influence on other people and the environment you were in, and I think it's very impressive and definitely an awesome achievement!
