Dear Internet,
"Don't study where you live, because you'll always want to live instead of studying" is what my dad told me on the way back up from last weekend. Well, I've been checking around, seeing where I study best, and I've found a good contender: the MSU Law Library. I guess I'm just a little enamoured with libraries, to be honest. In my mind, there are two types of libraries: The Indiana Jones Library and the 2001: A Space Odyssey Library. Yes, these are generalizations, but to be fair, I think most libraries are a combination of both.
The Indiana Jones Library is idealy full of reallly old books, the kind that creak when you open them. They're on all wooden shelves, adorned only with a faded number of the Dewey Decimal system written on yellow paper gracing a slot siding the oak cases. It's all one floor, with large windows pouring in yellowish light in the really defined beams where you can see the dust move around in. There is always an old man/woman at a desk, and no one else; which makes you realize that nobody actually reads these old books, which, in turn, make you want to open them up even more! [Yay for run-on sentences!]
The 2001 library is state of the art of course! Computers, ergonomic[yet completly unecessary] chairs and 20 floors are all in there. The bookcases move. Yes, that's right, they move (if you don't believe me, check out either MSU's Law Library or CMU's)! There's usually some kind of awesomely cool, yet probably not necessary, architectual design, like a hole in the floor to see other parts of the library or something.
Anyway, that's my tirade on libraries that I've always thought but never admitted because it's crazy! What can I say? I'm a crazy library-loving guy! And so, I study in the library, because it's state of the art, but also has a LOT of those really cool old books that I talked about up there! And it's QUIET! REALLY AMAZINGLY QUIET! Almost disturbingly quiet... I'm serious, I was wearing sandles the first time I went in there and people turned around because of the noise they made! Well, that's it for right now, I'm gonna go watch the NEW Family Guy with some guys from the hall in a bit!

PS- One of my roomies is kinda worrying me. He started off trying to hang out with a group that, frankly, wasn't right for him... and now he's kinda shut up and a little testy, I believe.
PPS- Another of my roomies is bugging me, but nothing serious. Just a reeeeeeal playa. I think he's had sex at least 2 times while on campus. Oh well, as long as he keeps it away from here. A fact that I doubt will hold forever. C'est la vie.
PPPS- Met a chinese dude by the name of Ceder. He's a beast! haha, well, not in the traditional strong man sense... but the guy just came from over there and he's uber-cool/uber-earnest. Plus he'd like to see some theatre at the wharton center with me! I've already obliged, of course!
PPPPS- Looking back at that entry... I also ought to have mentioned that I'm into "Librarian Hot" girls. Or maybe it would have been better not to mention... I can't imagine the responses I'll get from that...
