Free Web Based Email Wars
I tried sending and receiving these different types of files with each service because GMail is pissing me off by blocking certain attachments for no good reason:

Hotmail was consistently the fastest with delivery and reception. Yahoo was generally the slowest. Probably because:
Yahoo scans both incoming and outgoing messages for viruses. Hotmail only scanned incoming (I think). GMail scanned neither.
