Scheduling isn't that important, is it?

Work at 8pm until close today.  "Close" usually means 1:30-2am.  I have a final at 8am tomorrow, and will be campus-hopping for finals until around 10pm, so I'd requested it off.  Work has ignored my request, so now I have a 5-6 hour shift, followed by an awkward 6-hour period that will be, at best, a short nap, and at worst, me sleeping through my math final.  Followed by a gauntlet of writing, metalworking, and trying to tie up the semester's loose ends.

...followed by 3 days of having no scheduled obligations.

I am one of two cooks at work.  I could be working thursday, friday, and saturday.  I wouldn't mind - for once it wouldn't be interfering with schoolwork.  Instead, they have opted to needlessly overwork the other cook for the second week in a row, while leaving me with another small paycheck.

So guess what I'm going to be doing those three unscheduled days off?

That's right, finding another job.  With a bit of luck, I'll be able to quit on sunday.

In the meantime, I must prepare to be awake for another 29 hours.

Non-angsty post coming soon, I promise.
