Well, this entry has been a long time coming - I don't know how long it will be, but let's just say I'm here at the library doing some reconnassaince for someone and so I have my laptop and I'm just chilling. It took a lot of energy to get here so I will see how long it takes to get my energy back up so that I can leave and go home.

I've been sick since Sunday and I went to work Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. I had 102 fever all the while and being lucky me there is no one to cover my shifts so I had to go in feeling like crap. Such is the life. Ah well.

In other news, I took my LSAT last Saturday, right before I got sick. It was pretty difficult. I hope I didn't do too poorly, I would like to think that at least I am smart enough to attend law school. I have to finish my law school application as well for St. Mary's so that I can see if that can be a potential lead in my life's direction.

In other other news, I had an interview with my company for my promotion. They told me it was going to be with the Regional Director of Operations, but when I arrived there it was with (1) Multi-Unit Manager, (2) Area Coaches of Operations, (2) General Managers, and (1) Regional Director of Operations. Six people. That was so nice of them to let me know. At any rate, I did pretty well. I had some snappy comebacks to some of the dumber questions. (If you don't know already, I hate stupid people and stupid questions.) And the Regional Director of Operations actually asked me questions about myself, so I got to tell them all about how I want to be a lawyer and study contractual law and my interests and grades and stuff like that and all of them were sufficiently impressed. (I guess they thought they had some desperate little white girl begging to be GM.) HAH.

Granted, if they want to give me more money, like $40,000/year to do essentially the same job I am already doing, then go for it. I'm perfectly happy with that.

Robert and I have joined a gym now. We want to lose weight before the wedding next year. Next year! :) :)

We have gone faithfully to the gym up until this week, when I got sick. I've still lost 6 pounds since I got sick, but I know that's not good weight, it's probably a lot of muscle. I feel pretty weak. And now Robert is sick, too. He's at home hugging the porcelain deity.

What else? My brother finally had his long overdue wedding. It was really nice and it was good to see them get their wedding after him being gone in Afghanistan and Kuwait and all that for the past year.

We are still without internet, so I fear this will be the only post for a while. We are still too poor to afford branching out with many more bills, so internet is one of those, unfortunately.

But when I am promoted, I hope to save a substantial amount of money so that I can afford to go back to school without taking out any loans. I know my parents would front me the money, but I would like to avoid that if possible. If I get into law school, I will see about scholarships and finacial air, but st mary's is about $22,000 a year so I fear that if I don't get any aid, I will not attend. But all is not lost. I figure that if I can't go to law school, then I will go to nursing school like all my family before me. I figure that is a lucrative field and it really doesn't cost that much to go. Robert's looking into something like a radiology technician or a pharmacy technician or maybe nursing as well. I'm past the point where I am searching for my dream job. I just want to make money and not work with food anymore.

In happier news, we adopted a dog for a companion to our dachshund. We got her from the Animal Defense League and she is just the sweetest dog you have ever seen. She is an all-white American Eskimo Dog and her name is Yuki (which means "snow" in japanese.)

Anyways, the world keeps turning and we keep our heads above the water. Goals for the future include going back to school for me and Robert continuing in his schooling (he made 3 A's and 1 B last semester) and planning our wedding for summer of next year.

Oh, and not being sick. Damn the flu!
