Went for facial this afternoon and my face is as red as a tomato now due to the extractions. As usual the extractions are the most dreaded part of the facial where I will have to clench my fists, bite my teeth to control the pain. But the extraction today was not too painful, helped alot by steaming the face before the facial. My skin now is alot clearer without the clogged pores and blackheads. The facial massage was excellent! Have to go through all this pain for the sake of beauty. :)
Well, I do think that girls are less fortunate than guys cos we have alot to worry about. Everything from our head right down to our toes. Our skin, hair, neck, legs, eyebrows, fingers, toes etc. Life's not that fair cos girls will have every part of our bodies closely scrutinised by others. We dont really check out a guy's ass or his neck rite? Therefore, in the pursuit of beauty, girls have to spend money, time and effort to beautify themselves be it in the art of make up or in their fashion sense. However, do girls want to beautify themselves to be attractive to the opposite sex or is it their personal preference? For me, I am obssessed about my skin, hair and body because I see it as part of my personal grooming and hygience. I do not do all these to gain attention from guys or to have wolf whistles targeted at me. I am a strong believer in facials as I am unable to fight alone against the hardworking oil factory on my face which results in blackheads and clogged pores. I do my own masks at home to maintain my skin but I need the help of beauticians to clear the blackheads for me which could potentially erupt into volcanic pimples. Having to deal with a shiny face is tough enough but I have to combat against freckles as well. Therefore, I slab on layers of sunblock everyday before I go out and I use the umbrella to sheild myself from the sun. All this is just to achieve fair, flawless skin like those of Korean actresses. How envious of them!
I still remember a couple of years back, I would spend hours basking under the sun with a strong desire to achieve the golden tan of Gisele Bundchen. What was earth was I thinking?! Just imagine all the damage the SUN had done to my skin! Finally, realisation of the damage dawned upon me and I started to be obssessed with whitening my skin. This include whitening masks, creams, serums, sunblock and anything else available. Luckily, I am rather fair by nature but I do wish to be a little fairer. :)
Owells, I hope my skin heals by tonight cos Ive got 2 interviews tmr and 1 on Friday which Im really keen on! Hope everything goes well finally.
Yay! Obama is the new president! God Bless America! He will definetely bring hope to the African Americans and show them that nothing is impossible!
