I've been looking at info online for a new (well, used) car, and have taken a few out for a test drive. Was surprised to find I didn't care for the Toyotas I drove, and a bit disappointed because it would be cool to have a Prius. I wanted to like driving it. 44 mpg sounds pretty damn good to both my wallet and to my environmental side. I still really like the Altima, and the hyundai Sonata was pretty nice too. And cheap. Fred (one of Jesse's family's friends, from whom I will be buying the car) is trying to get me to buy a 2008 Chevy Malibu. The one he's got has a bunch of features that I don't need but would be cool, good mileage, etc. I'm just leery of buying a Chevy since they're generally not rated as well as non-domestic cars. But I hear the new Malibus are pretty excellent. So we'll see.
