(no subject)
i have found internet socializing to be impossible. whenever i have time for the computer it is sucked up by friggin EBAY. i've spent about a grand on a studio...probably will do another thousand before i'm satisfied.
BUY LIST:
1 kenwood KA-3050 stereo reciever
1 pair of bose 201 series II speakers
2 gemini pt-2000 II turntables
2 stanton trackmaster cartriges
1 stanton str8-80 turntable
1 korg electribe ea-1 analog modeling synth
1 boss dr. sample sp-303 phrase sampler
1 roland mc-505 groovebox
1 roland dj-1000 mixer w/ DSP effects processor
1 gemini scratchmaster mixer (crappy backup mixer)
1 shure microphone
and a buncha new speedcore/frenchcore/gabber/breakcore records
im nowhere near completion...ill prolly get a tb606, a decent midi controller keyboard, and then work on getting my hardware synced with my software based production efforts...which means getting a decent soundcard, a usb midi controller, etc.
so yeah, when im not spending money, ive been making it.
80 hour paychecks. not a minute more or less.
still doing tuesday nights at the red sea. its my evening of fun...i barely even party on weekends anymore. toby handed the upstairs over to me so i now can book whoever i want to play each week. and pretty much have a weekly residency in the middle of the loop locked in...as long as we can have tuesday nights, i have a GREAT OPPORTUNITY in my hands to start throwing live beats ASAP upstairs and hopefully get noticed. it will be fun...toby wants to throw live beats too. perhaps we could reform the whole approach of the evening? dunno. here's teh flyer0rz.
time for a nap. HOOOOORAY FOR DAYS OFF. havent had one of these in weeks.
