It's almost July. The year is half-over.
Since the last update in March I have done some things. One was take a trip to Chicago and New York City. I went to Chicago for a few days simply because I couldn't fly directly to New York from Portland and thought I might as well see the sights of Chicago since I had to stop. Chicago had nice weather, great food, interesting sights, and fine people. New York City was great, of course, and I had a wonderful time exploring the places I didn't go last time I was there.
Another thing I did was spend a month in Europe. I took a trip to Iceland, Finland, Estonia, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. Needlesstosay it was remarkable and beautiful and everything I would want from a month in Europe.
On Monday I started grad school for real. I think I love it. There is a lot of reading, numerous projects, and I'm with the same people for many hours every day, but I think it's fun and challenging and the people are becoming friends. I start student teaching in August in a fourth grade room.
I no longer eat processed foods, anything with added sugar, or drink alcohol. Also, I walk the three miles to school in the morning, which involves leaving at 640, and am finding it to be one of my favorite happenings of the day.
Other things have been done but those I just mentioned are the biggest events. Life is going very well right now.
