"Word Vomit"
So, I saw "Mean Girls" this weekend, and the main character talks about something called 'word vomit.' Word vomit is when you say things that you don't mean to say and you wouldn't normally say, but they keep coming out of your mouth anyways. I had a severe attack of word vomit on Saturday night. Of course.
I made up these STUPID little lies about stuff just to get this guy to talk to me. I do that sometimes, I mean make up stupid shit like that. I always want people to like me so I tell them things that are completely false and go on, and on, and on about them! What the hell??? Why do I do that?!
Lie example)) other person; "So, do you go to Georgia Tech/GA State/UGA/Emory?"
me; "um...yes, yes I do."
me again; "And I'm an alumni, and I live off-campus, and I decided not to rush a sorority, I don't like sororities."
me once more; "I'm majoring in Biochemistry/Business/Native American Studies/French. What about you?"
See what I mean? WORD VOMIT. I don't know what the hell comes over me, and the next minute I want to take it back, but it's too late.
I've noticed this problem with my behavior before, and I have TRIED to always tell the truth, but it just seems impossible. I lie without even thinking about it. It's like an instinct. I hate this thing about myself. Sigh. Word vomit.
