home again, home again

So this Thursday I went to Baltimore to visit my friend Sean, who I met via zine writing (he mysteriously got his hands on a copy of So We Beat On and ended up reviewing it. I'm still not sure how that happened, but awesome.)

Anyway, Baltimore. We went to Inferno, it was great, danced a ton, ended up with a million bruises, but it didn't matter.
We biked around all the next day, went to Druid Hill Park (which was so pretty) and played frisbee (I'm awful), and sat on the swings and talked for forever. We went to an orchid conservatory, looked at all these amazing flowers- there's a whole palm tree room! It was incredible.
We went to Poe's grave, and then Red Emmas, the infoshop, and I got a book on the oral history of the IWW and the Defiance, Ohio cd I had lost.
(Here's me outside of Red Emma's)

We ate tons of great tofu (Sean taught me how to fry it) and vegan chocolate cake, watched movies, hung out, had a great time.

After seeing Mischief Brew again, the same thought came back to me- I think I want a Mischief Brew tattoo of some lyrics and maybe a black cat. Suggestions for lyrics? There are so many great ones. Also, location?

I'm a born again vegan, I made mom pad thai and vegan baked pears with soy ice cream for mothers day, and vegan pancakes for breakfast. Hanging out with Sean made me want to re-adapt that whole healthy lifestyle thing I've been not doing lately.

After a horrible bus trip back to NY, I got to see Dan, which made me so happy. The end of the bike race he was in was fun, skids and trackstands and friends and people recognizing me, and I can't wait til this weekend (Superhero alleycat!)

While I'm thinking of it, 2 awesome things:
1. Zine World finally reviewed So We Beat On, and they gave it a great review
2. My article and book review finally came out in ELLEgirl (the article is about zines, and theres pictures of all of my zines, including copies of picutres Dan took)

Now that it's summer, I think in June I'm leaving for VA Beach for a week to surf and bike and not talk to anyone. Yay! I need to get working on writing again, cleaning my room, all that fun stuff. And I need to get shit ready to move in. Awesome.

While all this good stuff is going on, I still feel antisocial and like something is missing and kind of sick. Ehh, whatever.

love,molly
