After my grandmother died, I grew to realize my life wasn't being controlled by a higher power, and the cliche "it was her time to go", was just something people told themselves to water down the tradegy.
Life and death is based on prevention and mistake. Mistake by the paramedics, the er doctor, the nurses, mistake by the victim, shooting to much herione, or changing lanes into a semi-truck. Sometimes it's a bad choice we don't even know we're making. We are our own Gods. Our brain controls us. Most religions will beat into your head that a holy spirit controls your thinking, and that you must listen to that. Of course when you actaully think hard and long for nights on end about religion and God, you realize that it's just another way to benefit the insecurity and happiness of human beings. I couldn't prevent my grandmother from dieing,
and I'll never forgive myself, going out that night was a bad choice I didn't even know I was making.
