living life and seeing good days :)

My bedroom is my favourite place in the world. If a bathroom were thoughtfully added, i see no need to leave my room at all. With my door shut all the time, i get the utmost privacy i crave. That is why, when i spend long periods of time away from this special hiding place, i feel homesick ( Read more... )

hahahs km, i like to watch telly, go online, eat, read and sleep!!! wicked inertia indeed. and i believe, happiness won't elude someone as kind as you are :)

btw, i met jolene's mom, her aunt and her cute lil cousin elliot today at the mandai columbarium. my fam and i went to visit my dad and i popped by jolene's block before i left and actually ran into them there. good to hear stories abt marcus being argumentative and his aspirations abt becoming a lawyer like ya. we shd meet up soon :))

haha unlike you i can't spend too much time in my room, i will feel clastrophobic. apart from sleeping in of course!

Hello jinhua! Lol that just means you spend 1/2 the time watching TV, half online while Jolene spent 1 whole of her time on the TV and me online. LOL. You have more varied interests if that is consoling :D

It's nice to hear from you. Yes let's meet up soon. Next next week is most preferable, after i hopefully get a job. This is all very worrying.

Yes we should meet up soon, with Jolene's family too. Take care jinhua!

seems like a lot of people have been sick lately...i'm having the flu now too! i've read the alchemist, but that was a long time ago and i want to read it again!

anyway, if you liked the alchemist, you might like veronica decides to die and eleven minutes by the same author. the subject of eleven minutes seems rather risque at first (it's about a prostitute) but out of all coehlo's books i've read, it's my favourite, because it touched me the most. i do agree that his stories can be confusing at times. but the overriding theme of all of them seem to be a journey to find the meaning of life, whatever that may be.

hope you have recovered! Generally i am very paranoid, so i rush to the doctor the moment i have a sore throat. So the bout of flu and fever was pretty light, it lasted a day or two max.

oh! i read eleven minutes, and i liked it. i havent had the chance to find veronika decides to die in the library though, hopefully i will now during the hols. lol do you feel that it is hard to read his books all at one shot? i find it hard to appreciate him that way. for eg i read 11 mins then i liked it then i went to borrow the Devil and Miss Prim. But i didn't finish that cos 2 philosophical books at one go is too much.

like it wasnt wise to read so many agatha christie books at one shot too - i didnt enjoy the back few cos i could guess the murderers. takes away all the fun man!

yeah! i think generally it's bad to read too many books by the same author at one go, two is the max i think. i read veronika decides to die right after eleven minutes, and i didn't like it as much. the third book of his i read (the zahir), i couldn't even finish because i found it boring and repetitive! his books are really very philosophical. after a while it got depressing. but initially i found that they stirred my soul in strange ways that i couldn't explain.
