Yeah soccer!
So I went to my old team's game at 8:00am after being up till 4am due to Ultrazone and other fun stuff. So I arrive there and the first person I see is Matt Hungerford my old coach, w00t I love that guy. Well after making lots of cracks about my hair and warming up we all huddled and I didn't expect to be put in right away because I'm not officially on the team anymore. Well I didn't hear my name called for starting line up so I was walking off the field when Matt yells MAYA YOUR SWEEPER! Umm... yeah, I don't play sweeper EVER, but he kept me in as sweeper the ENTIRE GAME so much fun, I miss my old team so much. And we won 4-1 which was sweet too
Big surprise I'm exhausted after lack of sleep and playing an entire game of soccer when the team playing on the field next game comes up requesting players because they only had SIX players who made the game. Me having retardation issues and no ride home offers to play. So we are playing 4 men down against a team that has enough players, great idea in the first place right? Well at half time it turns out one of our players arches fell in and no one had any tape or anything. Second half we were 5 men down, almost half the number of people you are supposed to play with. We somehow managed to keep the ball on their half of the field though the entire second half and we walked out of the game with a tie 1-1. After the game I didn't think I could move, 2 full games of soccer after 3 hours and 45 min of sleep is not a brilliant idea. It was great fun though and I was so glad to finally touch grass again with actual cleats and a soccer ball. Now I'm off to go visit my cousin!
