Day 1 Part 2

Amber was beautiful. Simply put she stood out from among the rest. Her long hair flowed wonderfully down a perfect body. I noticed that her choice of clothes was amazing. I had not seen many girls with the kind of style that she had. It was classy and attractive and really looked great on her. I have been trying to remember our first conversation but have had no luck, so when it comes to mind I will revise this and add it. What I can say is that my first impression of her was that she was down to earth and extremely interesting and cool. She had a way about her that reminded me a lot about myself and I quickly began to like her. With the group all together we left China town and headed towards Times Square. Our Group leader Rebecca, had arranged for us to pick up our city passes and booklets on the city from Planet Hollywood. I don’t recall much of the subway ride to Times Square, but I clearly remember walking up the steps leaving the subway and entering a place so amazing that I lost my breath for a moment. Times Square is unlike anything I had ever seen. Television and movies do not give it justice and the sheer vastness of it will leave you speechless your first time there. Hundreds of Neon lights and flashing signs decorate the sides of buildings and endless crowd walk the streets. Everything and Everyone you could imagine can be found in Times Square. It is a place where it would take weeks if not months to take everything in. Our group walked in awe as we made our way past countless stores and restaurants. We arrived at planet Hollywood and I noticed that many of the group had been separated. I did not see Amber so I figured I would go back and try to look for her. I backtracked to the subway entrance with no luck and just assumed that she had found her way. When I returned to the group, I noticed that she had. My roommate sparked conversation with me as we waited outside Planet Hollywood. I recall his conversation being about the “fine” woman in the city and how he was going to “ take a bite out of the big apple tonight.” I found this really funny since the man couldn’t even match his clothes. I had no idea how he planned to find a girl. The group decided to break for dinner. Everyone agreed on a meeting time and split to find their first taste of a decent NY restaurant. I decided on the Hard Rock Café and made my way towards what would be a very, very interesting night. When I entered the Hard Rock it was full of musical items and famous themes from all legends of music. The place was packed and the smell of food coming from inside smelt wonderful. I noticed Amber and Amanda were there, checking in for a table of two. The hostess informed that the wait was an hour at least. I went to go make my reservation for one when Amber invited me to join their party. So what was a party of one became a party of three. I thanked her and then saw that more of our group was entering the lobby. The party reservation grew larger and larger till It was about fifteen people waiting. We all took a seat and once again I found myself sitting next to Amber. We small talked for a bit till I decided to go to the bar and see what the place looked at. I asked Amber to hold my seat and made my way to the bar area. It was a large rectangular wooden bar surrounded by Televisions and Liquors off every brand. I figured what the hell and found an open chair. The crowd was amazing. All around were people from all over the world sitting toghter and laughing. I heard German and France and even Korean being spoke all about me. I sat in my chair just enjoying the diversity and wonders of the place. An attractive middle aged bar tender came to me asking me what I would have to drink in a good NY accent. I decided on a margarita and then noticed the price. Eleven dollars for the cheapest one. I paused for a minute than just said to hell with It and asked for one. I had came to NY to have a good time. My drink arrived shortly after and I sat back and just enjoyed life in the simplest way of explaining it. Two the left of me I noticed two foreign woman casting glances in my direction. They spoke German to each other and I could tell that I was the topic of their conversation. I took a long sip of my drink feeling the warm soothing feeling from the liquor down my body. After a few minutes of thinking I leaned over and said hello to the woman sitting next to me. She was in her late twenties with a thick German accent and pretty smile. She wore a dress that was uncommon of American girls that complimented her curves and figure. Her dark hair hung freely over her face with slight curls burning blue eyes. She smiled at me as I introduced myself and asked where she was from. Her English was not that great and after a long couple minutes we were able to communicate and get through introductions. I learned that she was from Germany south of Munich and was a nurse. Her and her friend had came to the United States for the first time and were visiting New York till Sunday. As the conversation went on we were more able to communicate better as we found ways to make up for our lack of speaking each others language. Our conversation ranged from the common cars found in her country to me bragging about my mustang as I commonly do. We talked for hours about NY. The trade towers, music and many more things. I was surprised that she knew many American bands such as Aerosmith, Kiss, AC DC, and even ones like Nirvana. We flirted and laughed and drank the hours away getting closer to each other and more friendlier. It was obvious that there was an attraction so I went with it and was fascinated by this foreign woman. Call it the thrill of the unknown or the idea of something new or simply just physical attraction amplified by the drinks we shared. I found myself wanting to kiss her. A man never really knows what kind of chemistry you have with a woman until that first kiss. The first kiss tells you everything. Knowing that this would most likely be a one night thing, I decided to make the best of it and lost track of the time. Alexandria, which was her name. Alex for short really seemed to be comfortable with our flirting so I asked her if she had ever kissed an American boy before. She replied no with a smile and looked me in the eyes asking if I had ever kissed a German girl before. I admitted no then after a shared laugh, pulled out a coin. I told her that if it landed on heads than she would kiss her first American guy tonight. She agreed and it was obvious that she wanted too anyways. I flipped the coin, taking care to make sure it landed on heads. After an awkward moment of pause, I grabbed her hand and pulled her in to kiss. Our lips locked and we had a brief kiss. She quickly said flip again as we pulled apart and once again the coin landed on heads. The next kiss was longer and more passionate and we laid in each other embrace for a while. I was aware of the stares from people around the bar and it only seemed to make the moment better. After that we both went to go smoke a cigarette outside to calm our self’s, and to reflect I suppose on each other. I noticed that she was smoking Marlboro Reds but the pack was written in German. Curious I asked her about it as we stood outside the Hard Rock. She told me that they were made different and had a better taste than the American style. She handed me a couple and I lit one up to find that they did taste better. We talked for awhile before going back into the bar. Once returning I received a call from my roommate Jamie. He informed me that the group was waiting on me to leave to go back to the hotel. I told them to wait up trying to buy myself more time with Alexandria. I explained to her that I had to go and that I wanted to see her again. After a frustrating attempt to make communicate we finally were able to agree that we would meet the next day in China Town around 10am. Trying my best to make sure she understood where to meet me I gave her one last kiss and said goodbye. We had agreed that we would see each other again so satisfied, I quickly left the Hard Rock, making my way back into the masses of people who filled the streets. To my disappointment, I never did see Alex again.
